Now your COASTER Pass is available on the Compass Card – San Diego’s new smart card technology for transit! As part of the Compass Card introduction, your Compass Card is free (a $5 value – while supplies last).

The Compass Card is reusable, reloadable and it offers new flexible pass choices. When you first purchase your Compass Card, it will be a calendar monthly pass. From then on, you can reload your card as either a calendar monthly pass or a 30-day pass.

Description: For the COASTER, tickets and monthly passes are priced by zones. A Youth pass allows the rider to travel all four COASTER zones for the same price.For ages 6 through 18. School or transit youth identification is required.

COASTER monthly passes allow you to use the COASTER, all NCTD BREEZE buses, the new SPRINTER light rail trains, MTS buses and Trolley as many times as you want during the month shown on the ticket. COASTER monthly passes are not valid on ADA services (LIFT & MTS Access), and special event bus services.
